● For those traveling from Osaka Station, use Platform 1 to board the inner Osaka Loop Line bound for Universal City.
● If your train does not directly connect to the Universal City Station, you will need to change trains at Nishikujo Station.
● Upon arrival at Universal City Station, exit the ticket gates and turn left, following the signs towards Universal Studios Japan.

How to Purchase Train Tickets in Japan

  1. Automatic ticket machines can be found near most ticket gates at every station.
  2. Use the nearby fare table or fare map (which is often color-coded to show different lines) to locate your destination name and its ticket price.
  3. Press the “English” button on the ticket machine to receive instructions in English.
  4. From there, you can choose to purchase a ticket and select the ticket price that corresponds with your destination.
  5. If you are purchasing multiple tickets, use the buttons with adult and child labels to indicate the type you need.
  6. Pay by inserting Japanese bills or coins and proceed to the ticket gate when finished.

Getting a Prepaid IC Card

  1. If you plan to travel primarily by train or subway during your visit, consider getting a rechargeable, prepaid IC card (such as ICOCA or Suica), which minimizes the need for purchasing paper tickets at each stop, including transfer tickets.
  2. Look for the specially labeled ticket machines or visit a ticket counter at any major train station to buy your IC card. A standard IC card usually costs around ¥2,000, which includes a ready-to-use fund of ¥1,500 and a ¥500 deposit that can be refunded upon returning the IC card to a ticket counter at the end of your trip.
  3. If you run out of funds, ticket machines offer the option to reload IC cards with an amount of your choice.
  4. To use, simply tap your loaded IC card on the reader pad of the ticket gate to enter and exit a platform. The appropriate fare amount will be automatically deducted.
  5. IC cards can also be used to make purchases at shops, restaurants, and vending machines where applicable.

Size Limitations Standard car height should not exceed approximately 2.1 m (6.9 ft) if parking on the 1st Floor or 2.3 m (7.6 ft) if parking on the 2nd Floor.

Hotel Guest Rate ¥3,500 per night (starting from 1:00 p.m. on the day of stay to 1:00 p.m. the following day).
If parking outside of these hours, there will be an additional ¥500 fee per 30 minutes.

Keeping its quirky sense of nostalgia from the early 1900s, Shinsekai has remained largely untouched to this day. Complemented by the Eiffel-inspired Tsutenkaku Tower and floating pufferfish ornaments, the old-school atmosphere is a strangely fitting backdrop for enjoying a cold beer and kushikatsu, one of Osaka’s best-known specialties featuring meat, fish, and vegetables skewers that have been battered and deep fried to achieve that perfect, crispy bite.
